Clinic ServicesQueensCare Family Clinics' staff provide healthcare services in as many as 15 different languages. Each clinic has bilingual staff fluent in the languages and culture of their immediate surrounding communities. Primary CareQueensCare Family Clinics provide primary care services with an emphasis on quality preventive care. Clinic providers include physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers and pharmacists. The on-site dispensaries provide medications. Each of the sites is able to perform Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) waived tests such as urinalysis, microalbuminuria and hematest. For others, the specimens are sent to an outside lab. EKG's and spirometry can be performed in the clinics. A general surgeon and podiatrist are also available on site. Dental CareQueensCare Family Clinics provides low cost, high quality dental care services at five clinics. The Clinics provide a “dental home” where regular patients can see the same dentist each visit to maintain the continuity of care. The wait for regular exams can be up to 3 months, however, emergencies are scheduled right away. The Clinics are among few others who take digital dental imaging, called XDR. Vision CareComplete optometric care is provided at 2 clinic locations - Hollywood and Echo Park. Low-cost prescription eyeglasses are available for those who need them. For diabetic patients, dilated eye exams can be performed at a very reasonable cost. OB-GYNOB/GYN physicians provide the full range of services in women’s healthcare including preventive care, PAP and mammogram screenings and treatment. As part of QueensCare Family Clinics’ prenatal program, moms-to-be are introduced to a pediatrician prior to delivery for a special counseling session. The QFC pediatrician goes to the hospital after delivery for evaluation, counseling and follow up care. This extra effort supports the continuum of care, and enhances the mother’s ability to care for her child. Pediatric CareQueensCare Family Clinics is very active in providing childhood immunizations and full pediatric care, which includes dental and vision care. Tattoo Removal ProgramIn collaboration with the El Monte Police Department and other non-profit service agencies, the Next-Step Tattoo Removal program at the East Los Angeles Clinic provides tattoo removal for life-threatening and negative tattoos. Some 25 individuals are served in a week. TransportationQueensCare Family Clinics provides bus tokens, as well as vouchers for taxi rides with a local company, at no charge to qualified patients who need them.
