Q. What are your hours?

A. Please see the clinic directory to find the hours of the clinic nearest you.

Q. Do you take walk-ins?

A. We do our best to accommodate walk-ins, but cannot always do so. We recommend that you call for an appointment.

Q. Do you take same-day appointments?

A. We try to accommodate same-day appointments whenever possible. We recommend that you call before 9 a.m. for a same-day appointment.

Emergencies and After Hours

Q. Can I get hold of a doctor after hours? Do you have a doctor on call?

A. All clinics have a doctor on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need medical advice after hours, call your clinic and our exchange service will take your call (this is a live operator). They have a listing of all doctors on call at any time. Each doctor on call has a pager and/or cell phone to respond to your medical needs at any time.

Q. What do I do if I have an emergency during the day?

A. Go to the nearest hospital, or call 911.

Services

Q. What services do you provide? What types of specialties do you offer?

A. QueensCare Family Clinics provide a wide variety of medical services. All clinics have general practice for adults and children. Some clinics also provide dental care, vision care, OB-GYN, minor surgeries and disease management programs. We provide care for many specializations in the clinic, and also refer patients to specialists whenever needed.

Q. Do you have your own lab, or will I have to go somewhere else for tests?

A. All 6 clinic locations have a lab, and many tests, including urinalysis, microalbuminuria and hematests, can be done onsite in the clinic. EKG's and spirometry can also be performed in the clinics. Other tests are sent to an outside lab.

Q. How many days will it take to get the lab results back?

A. It will take 5 days or less, depending on the type of lab work.

Q. Do you have a pharmacy?

A. Yes, all 6 clinic locations have a pharmacy.

Q. Which clinics have dental services?

A. Five of the six clinics provide dental services: Eagle Rock, East LA, Eastside, Echo Park and Hollywood clinics.

Q. Which clinics have vision care?

A. Two clinics provide vision care: Hollywood and Echo Park clinics.

Q. What disease management programs do you have?

A. QueensCare Family Clinics has disease management programs for: diabetes, hypertension, childhood obesity, childhood asthma, and others.

However, not all programs run at all clinics at all times. Please contact the clinic nearest you to find out about availability of a program you are interested in.

Q. How many years of experience to your providers have?

A. This depends on the provider you will see. Our providers have anywhere from 1 to 30 years of experience.

Insurance and Payment

Q. If I don't have insurance, will I be paying for this visit?

A. We will do a financial screening to determine if you will pay for the visit.

Q. Do you take patients with Medi-Cal or Medicare insurance?

A. Yes, all clinic locations take patients with Medi-Cal and Medicare insurance.

Q. Do you take patients with BlueCross or other insurance programs?

A. Yes, we take patients with most other insurance programs, including
